Hey folks
i hope that everyone has had a great summer. well its back to a routine. i wanted to let everyone know some cool things that are happening with the band. on september 28th we will be playing a gig for the Dundas Hockeyville exibition game in dundas featuring the ottawa senators vs. the buffalo sabres. unfortunately, i have no tickets for people so don't ask haha.
this summer something very cool happend to me...kevin. i was nominated and won a Hamilton Hero award sponsored by lakeport. i have decided to take some of the money that was awarded to me and turn $2000 into $10000 by running a benefit. the date is not set yet, but the concept is. we are going to have a winter RIB FEST. there will be bands, prizes, beer, and of course ribs. I will let you know the second we choose the date for the event and hope that you can all come out and support it.
cheers for now

benefit
Hey Folks
I would first like to thank all the folks that came out and supported the Hamilton for Haiti benfit on saturday night. What a great time!
Blackie Jackett Jr, Dodger, Saint Alvia, Tomi Swick, Steve Strongman and Finger Eleven for an awesome night of music.
It is so humbling to have such great support in the music community. it is still overhelming!
The tally isn't finished but it looks like it is around the $12000 mark that was raised that night
there are so many people to thank Dave Derroco and everyone at Y108, H.E.C.F.I, Molsons, Long and McQuade, Malcolm and everyone at the Pheasant Plucker.
Hamilton once again has made me proud to a citizen of this great city!

benefit
Hey Rockers
here is some really cool news...
My good friend rich beddoe and myself were having dinner last wednesday and discussing how tragic the situation is in Haiti. We put on our benefit hats and lets just say we are making it happen!
On Saturday January 30th at the hamilton place studio theatre, we are raising some money for Haiti.
After a few phone calls to our pals we have got a great line up of musicians.
check this out.... Finger Eleven, Tomi Swick, Steve Strongman, Blackie Jackett Jr, Dodger and KMB!!
how does that sound?
Tickets will go on sale tomorrow at www.ticketmaster.ca they will be $30 and we are supporting Doctors without Boarders. We have a great bunch of corporate sponsorship from y108, molson, long and mcquade and the pheasant Plucker.
there will also be a silent auction with lots of swag and autograph stuff.
I really hope everyone comes out for a awesome night of music and money raising. If you can't make it out please try to support (in what ever way you can) to unfortunate folks in Haiti.
Peace be with all of you

Corktown
hey Folks
i am not sure who reads my occasional blog, but if anyone reads this who was there at the corktown on wednesday night, this is for you.
I feel really blessed that i can still get the opportunity to see former students and to rock out in front of them. You see, this party at the corktown was for the hockey team "the Sundevils". Stu Nalor (former student) plays on the team. he made sure that we got the gig THANKS STU. It was more than that. i had some great visits with students i have not seen in a long time. Some are married, some with families, lots of professionals, and all around good kids that have turned into nice adults and human beings. i am happy to get to experience that! To all that were out on Wednesday, thanks and it was great to see you. If anyone is reading this that was there, could please pass on the message to the others. My former students do ROCK!
i would like to wish everyone to have a MERRY CHRISTMAS, HAPPY HANUKKAH, AWESOME QUANZA!
Be safe and have fun!
If you don't have plans for New Year's Eve, the KMB are in guelph at Doogies. fun bar, good people, and yes there will be rock!

slainte
hey Rockers
Well it happened again. We are NOT playing this weekend at Slainte!
Serge assures me that it is entirely coincidental and that KMB will be back to a regular one weekend a month in the new year.
Slainte is having a jagermiester sponsored party. It sounds like fun i don't know if it is a private thing or not.
anyway, sorry if anyone had plans to come down and party (thanks) unfortunately, KMB will not not be there. I would like to wish everyone a HAPPY HOLIDAYS!

so Barry Forth gave me a shout and asked me what my interest was in writing a song for Dundas. Not just Dundas but there goal to be the next Hockeyville. I was honored. My good friend Jayson Duggan and myself sat down in the studio wrote and recorded a song. We are pretty pumped about it. We will be playing it live on saturday Dec 12th at the Market St. arena around 1pm. The goal for this is too have Dundas win the Kraft hockeyville thing that the CBC sponsors every year.
As soon as i figure out how to do it, i will upload the song for everyone to hear.
in the meantime check out their official website at

i have a couple of cool things that are happening or have happened.
I got a phone call from Paul Osbaldiston (former kicker of the Hamilton Tiger-cats) the other day. for those who may not remember, he played drums with us when he retired form the cats. anyway, there is a benefit going on at the endzone bar next saturday (april 4th) for camp maple leaf. Paul is coming out to jam with KMB. everyone should come out and support a good cause and say hi to Paul.
on another note: my good friend Rich and myself were invited to party with Tommy Lee after the Motley crue concert. In true Motley Cure fashion, we watched the guitar player from Hinder set his balls on fire and Tommy Lee roasted a marshmellow off his nuts! yes this is the truth and now i can honestly say i have partied Motley Crue style. it was Awesome!!!!!

Slainte
hey Rockers
It`s funny to me that it seems i always start these blogs with ``i know it has been a long time`` or ``sorry that it has been so long`` but it`s true.
I have been busy with Elyse and she is awesome! i am going to try right now and upload a picture.
On a different note:
We are making a triumphant return to Slainte on Friday February 6th and Saturday the 7th!!! I had the dog out for a walk and I was thinking that a cool idea would be to throw out to all of you a ``thing``
If anyone is interested in hearing some old tunes that we used to play and don`t play anymore. You should email them to me at this site and me and the band will make it a very cool night of cool tunes.
This idea came to mind when i ran into a buddy that used to come out to Slainte all the time. He said that he loved when we played El Scorcho by Weezer. So we are going to re-learn and rock it out at slainte. Let me know what tunes you rockers want.
see ya then

For some that came out to Endzone on saturday night to see us.... I totally apologize! We had the baby on Thursday and therefore (for obvious reasons) I couldn't make the gig.
My thanks to the staff at McMaster Hospital who were awesome!

Festival of Friends
Hey Rockers
I know that it has been a long time since I have had any contact with everyone. It is a shitty excuse but because of my renovations at home, I have had no internet. I am currently at my neighbours borrowing theirs.
Anyway, as most of you are probably aware, that most of the Festival of Friends weekend was rained out. It was a total bummer for all of us (in the band) that were really excited about playing. We has worked really hard to show the hammer how KMB can really really rock hard. There is however a positive that will come out of this. I will be able to let you in on some exciting news in the next few days regarding a show that will not dissapoint, and let the KMB rock out the original show. I promise that it will be a night to remember and once again the good times will roll.
For all those that did come out and bear the weather, i am sorry that the we couldn't make the night more enjoyable.
To my bandmates, thanks for all your hard work, it won't go in vane.
On another note: The Thursday nights at Montana's are stupid amounts of fun! Bring out the family from 8-10 on the patio at the Montana's in the Meadowlands near Silvercity.
I will let you in on the gig in the next few weeks

Doogies
hey Rockers
First of all I owe a huge apology to a few really nice folks. Dave and Karen who drove up from Burlington to Guelph and got a hotel room with the intentions of having a blow out, only to find out that we were double booked and had the night off. as well, to John and Melissa who drove down from Penetang (2.5 hours away) onnly to find out that we were not rocking. there are others! Can you imagine taking your new girl on the bus to go see a band only to find out the band wasn't playing. that happened too!
I would like to thank Doogie as a man of integrity who after finding out we drove up from the Hammer he insisted that we drink and eat... and we did!
Sorry to anyone else who may have made the treck out to see us and unfortunately we did not rock.
we were excited about rocking as we had our old friend Mr. Steve Sinnicks rocking out on the drums with us.
Our schedule is updated and I hope that there are no more mistakes.
thanks to everyone for their time and patience.
